Honestly, though Resi 7 is absolute trash!! Now Resi 4 is a very very good game, but let's be there too. Resi 4 isn't even as good as Resi 5. Resi 5 basically is the exact game as #4, but in #5, you have a partner and you have better guns, better melee, better story, superior mercenaries mode, and a nice Nightmare mode for survival horror fans. Something they seemed to have learned in Resident Evil 8. I don't know, it just seems that the gore was too over the top and silly during the first hour or two of Resident Evil 7. TC, no offense, but it seems like you would be more a fan of Silent Hill than RE. 7's influences fit more with the B-movie thing that's always been in the franchise. It depends what you want out of them. They're both good games (I personally think 8 is better though) but they hit different notes. 7 is more hardcore horror and is survival horror, while 8 is like Resident Evil 4 crossed with 7. I will say that 7 is almost required to understand some of the stuff that goes on in 8.

Damnation - the best we’ve got so far. The characters have way more depth than some of the other movies. Belikova is a pretty good antagonist and Buddy’s motivations are very flushed out. And of course Leon is Leon. Best scene: Leon and Buddy vs Tyrants. Death Island - Didn’t have high expectations for this one tbh.

Resident Evil games usually offer a bonus mode or two for players to jump into once you’ve beaten the campaign, and the same goes for both 7 and Village. Resident Evil 7 features two extra modes
