There's not much to see/do in Milan unless you've got cash to splurge, so you can easily skip there. Milan is a great city, but if you have to choose between the two add Venice. There’s nothing like it. If you can score tickets to see the last supper, go to Milan for a day. If not, just skip altogether.
It's actually cheaper to fly Cancún - Moscow - Havana. Add to that the price of three PCRs (min $75/each) and five days (not three) in a state hotel at $250-$750 and you see why it's impractical. The "all inclusive" means they bring breakfast, lunch and dinner to your room. You cannot leave your room. It would be worth spending a couple of nights in Mt Rainier and a day trip to Mt St Helens. If you continue south you can visit Portland and 20 min south of there is Silver Falls state park. Highly recommend if you love waterfalls. The upcoming 2-3 years are gonna be the best to visit nice but otherwise overcrowded places and that applies to Barcelona. Outdoor mask mandate may hopefully be removed by July/August as it's abundantly clear that outdoor contaminations are minimal. Indoor mask will remain until at least 2022, as it should.
We traveled Italy last year for a week and yes, Venice is worth it. It was the best and most beautiful part of our trip. Venice was my favorite city in Italy. People complain that it is crowded, but if you just move one street off of the main tourist thoroughfare, it is a completely different city.
